Bonchari Constituency MP Charles Onchoke has announced that in the current financial year, his office has allocated KSh 50 million for education bursaries and promised that this amount will be increased in the coming years.
Onchoke made these remarks in Suneka town on Monday, February 24 while leading his NG-CDF committee members in distributing cheques to university and secondary school students who benefited from the NG-CDF fund.
He thanked the committee members for their non-partisan approach in handling bursary and urged those who have not yet received assistance to visit his office for possible corrections to ensure they receive their rightful share.
“We would like to assure the public that this is their money; we are merely custodians, and they have the right to question us when we go wrong,” he said.

He promised that the party will present a presidential candidate in the 2027 general elections.
Onchoke praised Dr Matiangi for bringing order to the education sector during his tenure as CS for Education and reiterated his support for Matiangi’s presidential ambitions, believing he can lead the country to greater heights of development.
Additionally, the MP criticized the Kenya Kwanza government for what he described as political dishonesty that hampers the country’s economic growth.
