The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has called upon all demonstrating Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers to obey court orders and go back to class and teach.
In a statement released this evening and signed by the Commission Chairman Dr Jamleck Muturi John, TSC has maintained that the teachers must return to class since all public schools reopened yesterday Monday, May 13, 2024.
According to Dr Muturi, the TSC internship programme is a national government initiative aimed at providing practical working experience.

He added that the Commission remains committed and responsive to issues affecting the teaching service.
On Monday, May 13 JSS teachers engaged in a nationwide protest demanding the commission to convert them into permanent and pensionable terms.
