Webuye West Sub County is set to experience a digital revolution as over 70 youths from Sitikho Ward benefit from a free ICT training program launched by Hon. Peter Palang’a.
The noble initiative was officially inaugurated yesterday, marking a bold step towards empowering the youth with essential digital skills. As part of the initiative, Hon. Palang’a donated five brand-new laptops to facilitate the training.
The program aims to equip participants with computer literacy, programming and digital innovation skills, enabling them to access broader employment opportunities in the modern digital economy.
“This is just the beginning,” said Hon. Palang’a during the launch. “My vision is to ensure youth from all parts of Webuye West Sub County gain access to ICT training, enabling them to compete in today’s technology-driven world.”

The project has been warmly received by local residents and leaders, who lauded Hon. Palang’a for addressing the critical need for digital skills in the region. Many see the initiative as a pathway to increased economic growth and youth empowerment.
