Chairman of the Kenya Defence Forces sponsored secondary school Principals Association J.K Maina has urged students to focus on their education for a better future.
He asked them to work hard and produce higher results in KCSE.
Speaking at Koelel Forces Academy, Maina said being under the care of a respectable and disciplined force students in those schools should maintain a high standard of discipline which will lead to higher academic progression.
“We are all combining our effort in producing good students who are disciplined, and focused in life.”, said Maina.
Miana who is the Chief Principal of Moi Forces Academy Nairobi, said that parents whose children are studying at Forces Academies should give necessary support to teachers and Principals in those schools in order to achieve good grades.
16 secondary schools are sponsored by KDF in this Country among them Moi Forces Academy Nairobi, Moi Forces Academy Lanet, Moi Forces Academy Mombasa, Koelel Forces Academy among others.
He said that Principals in these schools work well with the Ministry of Education which has been very supportive of the schools.
Maina also said students are being mentored to be responsible citizens of Kenya who can fit into any profession.
“I want to ask our students to believe in themselves because they have the potential of having a bright future. Use any available opportunity that you come across both in class and in the co-curricular activities to make your life better now and in the future.” He said.
” yOU must stay healthy physically, mentally, and psychologically in order to perform well in class,” Maina said
He appreciated all parents, teachers, and Principals of KDF Sponsored schools for their concerted effort in improving the performance of the students.
The function was also attended by Nakuru County Director of Education Victoria Mulili, Senior officers from KDF, and Principals from KDF Sponsored schools.
