Mbooni Boys Secondary School in Makueni was razed by fire yesterday. According to Mbooni police reports, the principal Joseph Nzioka reported the incident, saying that the school dormitory was on fire.
The fire razed a dormitory housing 200 boys, but the cause of the fire was not yet established, though police investigations are still ongoing.

However, there were no casualties reported. Police are assessing damages and destroying students and school property.
On Monday night, some 205 students at Don Bosco Ituuru Boys High School in Gatundu South, Kiambu County, have been sent home after a fire destroyed four dormitories and their possessions.
School principal Paul Thang’wa said that despite the spirited efforts of school workers, neighbors, and the Kiambu County Government firefighters to put out the fire on Monday night, nothing was salvaged.
