Father and uncle who recorded themselves assaulting a child sought by police

The disturbing screenshot of the video of an uncle beating up a child as the father recorded. As police pursue the two, they are believed to have crossed the border to Uganda to hide.

Busia County detectives are pursuing two individuals captured on camera assaulting a minor after the video taken by the father went viral.

The suspects Edwin Ogolla and Denis Asabu were captured on camera recording the incident.

While presenting the minor at Port Victoria Police Station, the area children’s officers informed the police that the inhuman incident took place three months ago at the minor’s home located in the Musoma area in Bunyala Sub-county.

During the incident, the minor’s uncle (Ogolla) was recorded by the father of the child giving the punishment. The victim suffered serious injuries that are still healing due to lack of immediate medical attention.

When the incident came to light, the children’s officers took the minor to hospital where he was treated and the medical P3 form filled.

Further, detectives in Bunyala recorded witness statements and pursued the two ruffians who are suspected to have fled to Uganda.
