Former Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana is set to return to academia as a Professor in the Master of Laws programme at Daystar University beginning January 2025.
Kibwana, who previously taught at the University of Nairobi for 25 years before his hiatus, expressed enthusiasm for reconnecting with students and contributing to their education by fostering a new generation of legal professionals.
In a recent statement on his Facebook page, he emphasized his dedication to youth engagement.
“I eagerly anticipate engaging in the Master of Laws Programme starting January 2025. Where the youth are, I pray I always be there,” he said.
Kibwana’s transition back to teaching follows a significant political career, during which he advocated for various social legal reforms.
He noted that while embarking on this new chapter, he aims to leverage his experience in public service to enrich the academic environment and inspire students in their legal pursuits.
