Embu philanthropist offers to sponsor student leadership inauguration

Jacob Ireri, a deaf Embu philanthropist, has offered to fully sponsor the inauguration of a student leadership organization.
In a powerful testament to his dedication to education and youth empowerment, Mbeere North philanthropist Jacob Ireri, known fondly as Mbao, has pledged to fully sponsor the inauguration ceremony of the Embu County Campus Students Organization (ECCSO).
The much-anticipated event is scheduled for next month in Siakago following a successful student election.
Mbao’s story is one of resilience and selflessness. Despite living with deafness, he has emerged as a beacon of hope and opportunity for students across Embu County. Over the years, he has made it his mission to support those from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering scholarships and essential educational resources to students who would otherwise struggle to access higher education.
His philanthropy extends beyond financial assistance—he inspires students to persevere in the face of hardship, reminding them that challenges can be overcome with determination and community support.

Mbao’s offer to sponsor the ECCSO inauguration reflect his deep-rooted belief that the future of Embu County, and Kenya as a whole, rests in the hands of educated and empowered youth.
According to Mbao, by supporting this event, he is not only endorsing the newly elected student leaders but also underscoring the importance of strong leadership among the youth.
“The students set to take the stage at this event are a testament to the opportunities Mbao has tirelessly fought to create—students who, like him, have faced difficulties but are rising to shape the future,” stated Mbao as he declared his support.
