Eldoret polytechnic signs MoU with Uasin Gishu County

Eldoret National Polytechnic has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Uasin Gishu County Government that will equip students with essential skills and mentorship in the health sector.

Speaking during the MoU signing, Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim said the collaboration would provide students with hands-on experience in pharmaceutical technology. They will also gain experience in laboratory sciences, biomedical engineering, nutrition, and health records management within the county’s health facilities.

The governor stated that the county has emerged as a premier medical hub, driven by its commitment to a reliable drug supply, advanced diagnostics, and expanded medical infrastructure.

Principal Charles Koech of Eldoret Polytechnic said the institution offers quality education, and health science graduates are well-received by prestigious institutions such as Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.

He also mentioned that the polytechnic’s engineering students often find placements with leading construction firms and public utilities in the country.
