Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba has today visited Ongata Ronkai Comprehensive School and Arap Moi Comprehensive School in Kajiado County to assess the state of preparedness for the first term.
The CS commissioned nine classrooms for Onkata Ronkai Primary and Junior secondary school in Nkaimurunya ward constructed by government through Kajiado North Constituency National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NGCDF).

The visit is part of a Ministry-led effort to ensure seamless transition to Grade 9 and effective resumption of school activities.
The CS said the government is prepared in receiving students for Term 1, which commenced today. He assured learners of adequate classrooms, books, and teachers.
Provision of textbooks
The preparations for Grade 9 have seen construction of additional classrooms and the provision of textbooks for learners.
Government had disbursed KSh11 billion to schools across the country for the construction of 11,000 Grade 9 classrooms.
The government is committed in ensuring every child access quality education. The education budget has increased by KSh127 billion in the last two years and government is providing more resources for university and technical education through the new student-centred funding model.
