A student at Ebusia secondary school in Malaha area in Mumias East Sub County will represent Kenya in Rwanda after she emerged the champion in athletics national competition.
Yvonne Mwangala a form four student appreciated Kenyans for giving her moral supporting and wishing her success during the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) national athletics competitions.
She urged her fellow students to nature their talents which would earn them a living after completing school.
She said she intended to continue with athletics after completing form four.
Mwangala lauded Kakamega deputy governor Ayub Savula for promising to pay for her air ticket to Rwanda and also clear her school fees and.
Ebusia school teacher in charge of Sports Sadick Babiri said a part from emerging the champion in athletics the Mwangala also performs well in academics.
“As teachers we are proud of her success despite the fact that the school doesn’t have sufficient sports gear.” He explained.
He called upon Kakamega County sports CECM Morphart Mandella to support the school so that it can compete with bigger school in the region.
