Speaking to Education News after the election, dairy consultant and founder of Tanolope Consultancy, Alex Gathii outlined his vision of restoring the school’s legacy through academic excellence and infrastructure development.
“It is time for Chinga Boys to reclaim its rightful position in the national academic landscape,” Gathii remarked.
He said that his leadership will prioritize the alumni’s ‘Dream Team’ initiative to revitalize the school’s academic and extracurricular standards, which targets a mean score of 9.4 in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Reflecting on its past glory, Gathii recalled when the school was recognized as East Africa’s best Agricultural School in the late 1970s.
He stressed the urgent need for a modern library, a multipurpose hall, and upgraded facilities to foster academic achievement.
“Our key focus is academic improvement,” he stated. “Achieving a 9.4 mean score in the 2025 KCSE would be a monumental accomplishment.”
