Ndanu Hellen of Matuga Girls’ High School has scored an impressive grade A with 83 points in the just-released KCSE 2024 results.
Her achievement could make her the top-performing student in Kwale.
In Kwale High, also a national school their best student managed to score A minus of 77 points.
Some of the students who scored A-are Abdisalan Abdirahman, Emanuel Juma and Musau Mutiso and many others.
Speaking over the phone, Hellen’s mother, Josephine Chai, expressed her overwhelming joy and pride at her daughter’s exceptional performance.
“Her education journey was not easy. There were times when she was on and off school due to financial constraints, but we relied on various bursaries to keep her in school. I am so grateful to God for seeing these results,” she said.
The school Principal Caroline Zawadi Nguma said, “This is a proud moment for the school and the entire county. Hellen has set the bar high for other students, and we are confident she will continue to shine in her academic pursuits.”
A total of 328 candidates sat for the exams.
Kwale High School Principal Michael Mutua stated that the school is still in the process of compiling the results and expressed optimism about achieving commendable performance.
Some 12,260 candidates sat for the 2024 KCSE exams in Kwale County.
