Celebrations rock schools across the country after posting outstanding results in the 2024 KCSE released today morning by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos.
Maranda High School has posted a commendable mean of of 9.69 representing a percentage pass rate of 95.78 per cent with 56 candidates scoring A out of the 562 candidates who wrote the exams.
Some 150 students had A-, A- (150), B+ (131), B (104), B- (67), C+ (30), C (18), and C- were five. 538 students attained university entry mark.

Ng’iya Girls High School from Siaya has also posted sterling results.
Elsewhere in Nyeri, Kagumo High School is in celebratory mood after the Principal Dr Silas Mwirigi announced the results.
The school has posted a mean score of 9.543 with 41 students scoring A plain grades, 100 A-minus, 116 B plus, 84 B plain, 47 B-minus, 35 C plus, 14 C plain, and 7 C-minus.
During the release of the examination results, the CS said both boys and girls should be empowered to get quality education in all learning institutions in the country.
He added that the government will address all obstacles that hinder girls to access education like early marriage, early pregnancy among child labour.
He also said that likewise all obstacles that hinder boys like drug abuse, child labour, and other will be addressed by the government to ensure they get education for a brighter future.
