Bungoma county, through its Department of Education and Vocational Training, has rolled out a mentorship programme aimed at supporting the 2025 scholarship beneficiaries.
According to a circular issued by Chief Officer Sam Nalwa Wanjala, the programme will run from December 5 to 13, 2024.
The mentorship initiative targets students across the county’s 45 wards. Beneficiaries are required to attend their designated venues in full school uniform and present three report cards from 2024 as well as a fee statement.
“This programme is designed to prepare and motivate our scholarship beneficiaries, ensuring they remain committed to their education while instilling critical values for academic success,” stated Wanjala.
Ward administrators have been tasked with informing the respective students about their nearest mentorship venues.
