Boost as Kisumu Central MP commissions 6 classrooms at Manyatta Comprehensive school

Kisumu Central Member of Parliament Dr Joshua Oron has commissioned six classrooms worth KSh13 million at the Manyatta Comprehensive School.

Dr Oron said six classrooms have been constructed through the NG-CDF.

Speaking during the opening of the new block, Oron said the new classes are modern fitted tiles and connected to the power.

He said they will in future embrace green energy through solar in order to keep the environment clean in addition to reducing on the cost of power.

Oron said Manyatta Comprehensive has huge number of students in Kisumu Central totaling to approximately 2900.

The MP said that the NG-CDF should be allowed to cater for Grade 7, 8 and 9 classes.

MP promised to continue improving schools’ infrastructure.

Manyatta Comprehensive head teacher Truphena Dianga thanking the MP for the noble gesture said, “We still need a lot from the MP and will continue knocking on his doors.”

Dr Oron also handed over six renovated classrooms at Kosawo Comprehensive School which were renovated at a cost of KSh4 million.

The MP added that renovations would continue across the constituency in order to replace asbestos roofing in some learning institutions.
