Aviation student is among 11 people, including the pilot, who missed death narrowly in an aeroplane crash as they practiced flying.
According to an eye witness who identified himself as Joel Oywera, the aircraft lost control as it tried to take off but stalled as it swayed from side to side as they tried to find direction and stability.
“I was in my compound next to the Richpta Airstrip when I saw the plane trying to take off from the runaway of the airstrip,” he said.
Other residents near the airstrip narrated how they witnessed the plane veering off the runway before coming to a stop as the engine billowed smoke.

Fire fighters from Migori County rushed to the troubled scene and engaged the county ambulance van to evacuate the affected passengers and the crew to Migori Teaching and Referral Hospital where they were examined and were discharged soon because none of them was injured.
Migori County police boss Francis Nguli identified the aircraft as belonging to Z Boscovic Air Charters.
“We are still trying to establish the cause of this accident but I am happy to report that there were no casualties involved,” he said.
The company revealed that they were working hand in hand with the local police in the investigations to establish the cause of the accident.
He assured the relatives of those affected and the public that there was no cause for alarm as they were safe.
