Another KCSE candidate dies in hospital while doing tests

Migori County Director of Education Jacob Onyiego. He confirmed the death of the KCSE candidate at Migori Teaching and Referral Hospital. Her papers will be in the custody of invigilators and security personnel until communication is relayed by KNEC on the next course of action.

A KCSE candidate of Okumbo Mixed Secondary School in Migori County has died while doing her exams from Migori Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Moline Atieno succumbed to the illness that took her to hospital. Reports from the facility reveal that she was admitted on October 15 as she was battling a kidney disease and heart attack.

Another KCSE candidate passed on at Migori Teaching and Referral Hospital while writing her exams.

Migori County Director of Education Jacob Onyiego confirmed the death and wished the deceased’s family God’s comfort in this time of sorrow.

“My office was aware of her being in hospital but it is unfortunate she did not recover,” he said.

The police in Migori visited the hospital morgue where the body was preserved.

Area DCI who accompanied the regular police ordered the examination materials belonging to the deceased to remain with the invigilators and security officers pending further instructions from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
