Residents of Kisii and its neighboring counties have been asked to turn up in big numbers for Technical and Vocational Education and TrainingTVET placement sensitization worship to be held in Tabaka town on Tuesday.
South Mugirango MP Sylivanus Osoro who spoke to Education News in Kisii town regretted the number of parents and students who do not know the procedure for joining (TVET) institutions in the county.
“We are inviting parents and their children to the meeting for sensitization about the procedures involved in seeking placement for the TVET institutions because information is power.” He said.
The MP said that Principals and their staff from Kisii National Polytechnic, Nyaore Orogare, Nyachenge, and Nyaburumbasi will be there to enlighten residents about the appropriate courses and other matters involved.
The meeting will be hosted by the local Radio vernacular station’s team led by James Gichana, Lawerence Nyakundi, and Sorobi Moturi.
Gichana who is the head of the radio station said they will use the public opportunity to identify young talented prospective journalists and upcoming artists for any possible assistance to achieve their dreams in life.
