Police in Homabay County are holding 10 teachers, including a centre manager, in connection with malpractices in the ongoing KCSE examinations.
According to Homabay Sub-county Police Commander Emmanuel Kiplagat, the suspects were caught photocopying a Chemistry paper with the intention of assisting candidates with prior information.
“My security officers arrested the suspects in the school as they photocopied the questions from a question paper that belonged to a candidate who was receiving medication in hospital,” he said.
He said that the suspects are teachers employed by school management at Pala Masongo Secondary School with 119 KCSE candidates this year.

“All evidences concerning the allegations of irregularities have been collected and the suspects will be arraigned in court any time to answer the allegations,” he said, warning anyone colluding with candidates that there is no chance of escape.
